Our school Swimming Carnival was a terrific day – it had something for everyone! Following a similar format to 2018, the carnival was divided into two components.
The morning was filled with the competitive swimming events, with students representing themselves and their house. There were many fantastic performances from our students as they raced up and down the pool! It was especially pleasing to see an increase in students competing in competitive events also.
The second half of our carnival contained non-competitive, recreational events, highlighted by the inflatable equipment supplied by the swimming pool and it’s staff. With a change in focus towards participation, enjoyment and developing water skills, many students were able to enjoy the water as the temperature warmed up.
We are so thankful to God for the wonderful day that he provided for us, especially safety for all participants, terrific weather and the support students displayed for one another throughout the carnival.
Thank you also to the staff, students and parents who assisted with various aspects of the carnival.
Congratulations also goes to Yallah who triumphed in the swimming carnival over Tongarra (714 – 473).
